BLOG-1- Ancient Art in MultiMedia

Many people say's that  ancient art has nothing to do with Multimedia.

Is it true...?

Maybe for some, but for a true artist, it is something that is really a 

treasure to bear with. Ancient art is the start of all, it's like the spark

 in the stone for an early man that discovered the fire. Ancient art 

was the first means of communicating in the early ages but. They 

didn't know that it was an art, an art that will lead to a  more  and 

easy but truly remarkable form of arts. They only knew that it was

 for communicating, for recording everything that happens in their lives. 

For me as a Multimedia artist...?, we need to know the concepts, styles, and means of art in the early ages.

Why...?

Simple.

Every artist should know what they are doing, they should know every part of what they are doing because in art, everything that you put like in a canvas drawing, when someone asked the artist, "what is that for?" and the artist couldn't answer,that person will think that, that artist is not true because even his own art, his own style and concept, he didn't know why did he placed in that  canvas. Like someone said, "every single thing in this world has it's own reason.

In Multimedia arts we study the history of art especially ancient art because you cannot understand what multimedia is all about without it's history. We need it to know the concepts because we might need it in the future, in our projects.

Ancient art is truly remarkable works in the early ages. It lead to a world that even they, can't imagine, it is beyond their imagination. What there were once nothing became that one special thing, "Ancient Art".

Works of art, in my opinion, are the only objects in the material universe to possess internal order, and that is why, though I don't believe that only art matters, I do believe in Art for Art's sake....

WEEK-7- Mon-tage...?

I made this montage that looks like this because I always smile. I love to smile but I don't know why. I'm also always very talkative. There are times that I promise myself to be quiet for one day but I can't, I can't help myself not to talk especially when I am in my university.

The pictures I put in this montage is the pictures of the persons that always make my day. There are times that I am a little pissed of some of them but, I can't help it, I can't help myself not to talk to them I don't know why. This pictures are all taken in our trip in University of the Philippines in Los Banos. We got there because we have a project in one of our subjects and we need to hang out for awhile then describe the place where we got. They are the people that made me feel that I am a person, that my life is a worth. I wasn't able to Include the other person in this montage because I have no picture of him but, he, I think, I can say that the closest friend of mine even he is a lot older than me, we have a same mind and trip, to annoy some of our fellow group mates.


The most unforgettable experience for me is when my feelings went up on one of my fellow FFM group mate.  I asked her if we can go with each other but she refused, but still, I smile. Even I have problems or inner feelings, I smile. Because for me when you smile, you can forget all your problems. I also smile because someone said to me, I don't know who but this person said, "smiling makes a person look cute..." hahaha... !


Oh before I forget our group is called "FFM" that stands for french fries monsters, because we eat french fries , A LOT..! especially on jollibee, because their fries is so delicious and we can't help to buy if we smell one.
I will always treasure every moments with them, even if I've grown up old, woohoo! party, party...!

WEEK-6- Sing it..!

The song of my life is entitled, I Live my Life for You.

It is composed and was sung by Firehouse.

This is the song of my life because when I was still a little kid, then my father plays it, I feel relaxed. That song catches my attention because it is so beautiful and very meaningful for me. The blending of the lyrics, the tone, the voice of the singer and the moderate speed of the song is very beautiful. It fills me up when I hear it playing. When there are times that it feels boring for me, I'll just listen to it, then It makes me feel energized and motivated to do something worth awhile. When I am on a bad trip or my mood is not that good, I’ll just hear it and it sets my mood good.

Until now, I’m a college student I still love  that song even if it is a little bit of an oldies song, but it is not that obvious because it is some sort of an acoustic-rock song. Several  people person loves acoustic songs and I’m one of them.

So that’s the reason why I picked this song as the song of my life

WEEK-5- Keep Going

The best thing to do in life is not giving up and persevering.
Even when you have struggles in your life, you still live.
The most common thing that we always do is, persevering.
We don't know that but it's the most common thing we do in our everyday lives.
Why, When?
When we live. We persevere because in our everyday lives we always face struggles and difficulties but, life must go on, we need to forget, forgive and accept things for us to live thats why we keep going on and keep living in this chaotic world of struggles and difficulties and problems but, we persevere.
We should live.
Also, God will not give us problems without solutions so, just wait and don't give up, persevere, and go on with your life and face your life with pride and glory.

WEEK-4- Whoah...! That's plaigarism

First, what's plagiarism?
For me plagiarism is:
Plagiarism - illegal copying of an article or something without informing or requesting for authorization from the one who made it.


Plagiarism is the most commonly used style of a student when it comes to researching, making term papers and other researching activities. But it is a crime, it is a crime. Most students do this thing because they thought it is alright but, as I said, it is a crime. Yay...! Even me, when I was an elementary student, I used to do this but, when I step to high school, I stopped it because I knew it was alright but it is a crime, also I stopped it because I want to share my thoughts.


Plagiarism has bad effects, it makes students not to read, to be lazy making their own thoughts and the worst, someone can be put to jail because of this law of plagiarism. But! Plagiarism has it's own good effect(but still, it is not considered). It is somewhat helpful tool for teachers because from that, they get the exact information about the facts, articles and insights about their lesson. But still it has bad effects like, not all information that you got there is somewhat real like wikipedia, some of its content might be false because the information there can be edited, revised by people.


To prevent plagiarism, a person shall have a motivation for himself and a burning heart for him to be motivated to make his own thoughts, and no one knows, he might be a great author someday...

WEEK-3- What a long weekend...?

Hmmm...
A long week end.
Five days no class.
BORING.
Long weekends affect students.
Me, myself and I, was really bored at that long weekend. There's nothing to do in the house but to watch TV, play computer, play with my phone, play guitar and my favorite, eat and sleep. I was listening to music all the time because I am really really bored. I don't know if my classmates feel the same but I think they are. Even when you go to shopping malls, you will be bored and encouraged not to stay there for long periods of time because there were so many people because of the holiday.


Long weekends makes students lazy, like the lazy song. When the school days are back, they feel lazy because they were used of being lazy, they're used doing nothing but. When they wake up, they wake up late because there's nothing to do and nothing to get busy with, but if they are a good person, they will help the people in their house to clean, and get busy or make some activities that will make you not to be lazy. So that when they go back to school, they are not feeling lazy. It affects the momentum of studying of the students because for example, before the long weekend, their professor gave and activity to do at home and the long weekend is 5 days for example from Saturday to Wednesday, the student will think that there's plenty of time so he/ she will not do it early because he/ she thinks that it is no time to do it then the last day of the long weekend comes then the student is now cramming for work.

WEEK-1- 3rd and 4th Quarter LEFT

    On the first day, the orientation, I woke up and feeling nervous about what's gonna happen and I don't know what to do when I get there. I wonder if I will have friends or not. I was a little bit late that day because I didn't know that the registration form is needed. Then I entered the orientation and I found my schoolamte in my highschool days then I joined them. That day I was very happy because found a friend so that I wont have a hard time finding new friends because I'm really really shy and always nervous. Then the second day I was also very happy because there were no class, the professors gave us time to meet and to know each other. The third day we met our professor on our major subject, mis a, on the first look I was really scared of her because she looks so strict and serious but, when the class is on, she is really really funny and very cool.

    The days go on, and I was able to befriend my other classmates and the days got longer becouse of our bondings, not only with each other students but also with the professors. That's what I liked most in the college life, the bondings with the friendly professors and they care about their students, because they are concerned about our future not like the professors in other institutions, the professors doesn't care about their students,  all they do is to teach but they don't care if their students understand what they're teaching.

Now we're halfway done in our semester and I am still amazed because of the fast exams in college, in half a year we need to take four major examinations and the other semester, another four wahaha!
All I can say, in my three months stay in Lyceum, IT WAS GREAT!

NEW MEDIA

New media.
What is it?
New media is the new means of communication, new medium of communicating from the word media.
So what is it all about?

New media is what makes our communication fast and instant. New media is the product of the fast growing technology, and we can't stop it, that is why it is called new media. In the older times, the telegraphs, fax machines, and other means of communication was called new media. New media for now are the internet sites, it is the new way of expressing yourself, new way to express your thoughts and insights. New media is good but still, everything that is too much is bad because when the new media grow and grow as said on the video I watched, the computers may excel the human brains and it is scary. New media let's us for example, you forgot an assignment and you need to ask your classmate, you don't need to go their house, just go online on facebook, yahoo or other social internet sites and ask 'em. That's how new media helps us but it can make you lazy example, you're in the school with your group mates and you need to have a meeting for the project planning, you'll just tell them to go online and just chat. New media makes some people lazy. That example will lead to some misunderstandings so still, everything has it's own bad thing. We can't control the evolution of new media but we can control "it" with ourselves.

SOCIAL MEDIA REVOLUTION

Today, our professor presented two video presentations about social media.


On the first video, we saw the video about how the social media technology evolve and develop. We saw there that based on research and surveys, in average, adults spend 15+ hours a week surfing the net. We also saw there how the social blogging sites are updated every time. There were 2-3 new tweets updated every second and absolutely 50 million tweets every month. In the video streaming sites, YouTube is the most visited in its category. YouTube is the 4th of the most visited site all aver the internet. The 2nd of the most visited site is Google, we know why, I think, because it is the most reliable and most known search engine in the internet. Then lastly the most visited site and the most popular online blogging site is non other than Facebook. It's not that very surprising because we all know that. Because, all you need is there. Now a days, facebook provides video chat, that made it more popular and reliable. See? How can you imagine, the social media has evolved like this.

MEDIOCRITY vs EXELLENCE

First, let us know the meaning of the two words, mediocrity and excellence before we differentiate it.


1.) Mediocrity - means, it is only an average or in tagalog what we call  "pasang awa".
2.) Excellence - it means that you don't only get an average score or something but, you got it more better because you excelled.


For me, or most probably everyone, excellence is better. Because as what I said in it's definition, you don't only get the average or the passing score but, you got it better than getting only the average. Like in the school aspects, you don't only aim for the grade of passing grade of 75% because everyone wants to get an excellent grade of 95% or even 100% because you want to excel yourself. Because you wanted to be the best as you can.


As a conclusion, for me, excellence is better than mediocrity.

FUTURE COMMUNICATION

Last friday our teacher in our major subject presented a video entitled "The future communication".
There, in that video, we saw what could happen and could "probably" happen in the near future on the means of communication. That showed the rapid evolution of communication through the past centuries. That is because of the curiosity and being very intelligent that made the people be interested of how can they make the communication faster and faster in an instant, so they made the E-mail for an instant communication. Now a days they made everything to be in the computer and internet. You can do almost everything in the internet in just one click. That's what I understand in the video we watched. 

 From the video, I realized that in the near future the communication will still evolve and evolve because, needs of the people for more instant communication. I'm a little scared for what will happen if the development for communication still rapidly grow, because, with the newer and newer technologies, we might need the help of the machines then we invent the robots that can think on their own, communicate on their own just like in the movie "Terminator" that the world will be ruled by the robots just because of the needs for faster communication.

The Best Prelim Video Presentation

The making of the video presentations was fun, but it is hard because of the video editing skills required that our group lacks because, we don't have any other video editing software. Anyway, the best video presentation for me was the video of Raemon Wagan's group because even they are just begginers, their presentation was great. Also I wonder how do they do that kind of video and what software are they using. I'm amazed of their skills.


Their video presentation was very beautiful and very more like a work of a profesional. The positioning of the camera, the sound effects, the combination of different transition and also the idea of putting some funny scenes in the video.

GRAFFITI PARTY

The Graffiti Party last friday night was awsome, fantastic, and very energetic. My favorite part of the party was the presentation of the Lyceum Spartans, it was an awesome dance performance, they were like professional dancers. Also my secon favorite part is no other than the signing of the shirts, it was fun and very exciting because you dont know what will they write on your shirt. The party was fun also because of the guest band and host. 


Even though I am not in the mini presentation of our class, it was still good and well presented. Even before the party, we had a problem because the president of the CAS told us that the presentation shall be a one minute presentation but the presentation we made was almost five minutes. We were so nervous because we cannot do anything in the presentation because we might lose the meaning of it, but they still end up with the presentation complete and were very happy we presented it very well.

FIRST IMPRESSION

My first impressions her in Lyceum of the Philippines was a great facilities, friendly teachers, friendly people and a quality of education. My cousins were an alumni here and they were successful professionals so i also enrolled here to become also a successful professional. Because of the facilities, I was amazed in this Institute because I was impressed , also because of the staffs in the campus that they are in a very decent and very professional attire. when I first entered the campus, I said to myself, this is so fantastic and unbelievable because it is the first college that I've seen that has this very organized and this clean, no any little piece of trash, every single side is clean, I can't wish anything in this college anymore because all of the thing I need in a school is here.
