Blog 7 - The Art of the Modern Period

Modern art is the artworks of the new age. That's why it is called modern art. The famous artists during this periods was really good artistic. In this period new style and forms of art emerged like one of my favorite, the Art nouveau. This is my favorite art during the period because until now, you can see that it is still in the line. You can see it still on structures or any other thing that we could put that.

My second favorite art that emerged in this period is the gothic art. Again because it is still very rellevant until now. You can see it in tatooes graphic designs and other things. Then the third of my favorite was the Modern architecture of the Modern art period. Because, in their architecture, they put many design like gothic designs etc.

The last but not the least is the photography. This is my favorite because I think, it was the start of the digital age, when the camera was invented. Also this is my favorite because during the past periods, the painting of yourself was too expensive but when the camera came, it gave way for those who cant afford the portrait painting.

Blog - 6 - Eastern Art

Eastern Art.
It influenced many religions and cultures because of its style and different characteristics. These arts are most are from Asia like Japan, India and others. Their arts mostly depict their gods like Buddha just like the arts  during the classical period.

For me as an artist, the arts beyond the west influences us in terms of style just like what is today, in Japan, their artworks was very famous even in other countries because their style was very good their artworks are called manga which is equivalent to comics in other countries but, their style was different from what we know as comics so they added a style in the industry of arts a good and remarkable style.

In China their arts mostly in forms of porcelain then they put their drawing there to make it more beautiful. The style of Chinese art affects the style of the pots and other things that they should put detail in their products so that it is eye catchy. Then lastly the Indian art, the most Idealistic art for me because they make their arts from what's in their mind. They put in their art what is in their minds. Just like now a days like the movies today like the Transformers the artist that first designed it, was what is in their minds. Also in their human figures, they always put many jewelry's to represent that their city is blessed with minerals.

Blog - 5 - Art with Motion

It's amazing how art and naturalistic is well represented in the means of art works. Every period of art has it's own expression and one of the periods that when we say motion, there's a light that will come off on an artist's brain, the Baroque Art. In that period, art is really in realistic form for me because as the five characteristics characteristics of Baroque Art is defined or enumerated you can really think that it is realism. This five characteristics are: grandeur, tension, motion, drama, and detail. In just three of it's characteristics will do for you to conclude that this style is realism.
In this baroque painting, you can see all of it detail, there are expressions in the faces so it has drama then, the motion it is well presented, the tension you can notice that the man on the left most part of the painting he has shown a little bit of tension because he's like doing a stretch like from awakening in the morning then, the grandeur, the magnificence of the painting, means beautiful just like the painting.

The Baroque period has contributed several things in terms of art and also architecture. In architecture their style was to put statues or sculptures in their buildings to serve as decorations and to represent their beliefs. I their architecture also they started to put oval shaped style in the design of their structures as shown in the photo, and also one of the characteristics of their architectural style that is similar to their art is the detail, you can notice that the buildings that they make is very detailed that was like every part and piece has to have.

BLOG-4- The Renaissance

Most art periods have influenced the industry of arts like the Christian and Ancient art. These tow made a great difference in the styles of artists now a days. But, most of them all, the most promising and made a huge influence in art was the Renaissance period, I don't know why but I think it is the revolutionary artists and styles that made this period a breakthrough in the means of art.

The number on the arts that made a difference and shocked the world, and still a mystery was the painting of Leonardo Da Vinci, the Mona Lisa. Many said that this painting was the female version of Da Vinci. Also there were some humors that there were a rich woman that "rented" Da Vinci to paint her but when the painting is still on going, the woman left without the painting getting finished, so that's why Da Vinci still owns the painting.

The second  is the David that was made by Michelangelo. This sculpture is based in the myth "David and Goliath". There are 4 other versions of the David but this is the most popular and considered as most beautiful and meaningful for the crowd.

Every renaissance comes to the world with a cry, the cry of the human spirit to be free.

BLOG-3- Art of The Early Christians

It's really amazing how the early Christians managed to survive in the times that Christianity is forbidden. They used catacombs as their hiding spots and perform their rituals, and worships. In that way their art became famous. When the King Constantine converted into Christian, Christianity became legal and not forbidden, they made their art a name to be considered.

Most of the Christian art is in realistic style because their art depicts human like creatures like angels and saints.Their art is in forms of paintings, sculptures and the ones in the windows on the churches.  The most famous Christian art was made by Leonardo Da Vinci, The Last Supper, which is located in a Church in Milan, Italy. Their art is devotional because they make their art as a respect for the angels and saints that they depict in their art.

Their art makes the devotion of every Christian stronger when they see it, mostly in churches that's why they put their arts in there as well. Most of their art also is architecture that symbolizes something like the one that my classmate showed in their report about christian art.

BLOG-2- Arts i the Classical Period

I am really a fan of art, every form of art, even if it is not really interesting form but, I appreciate it. The most of my favorite is from the classical art because there are Greek gods, and the thing is they are my favorite form of art because I am fascinated by the mystery of how did they did that form of structures in their minds to an almost perfect shape like the form of muscles of the god Zues they were perfect as it is. But the only thing that comes in my mind when I think about this is, How long did it take for them to finish their artworks. I think that it took only a sometime for them to finish, Why? because for me they are the true artists, they made art an art.

Every art in the Classical period has a story behind it, and that's why it is interesting, there's always a mystery behind their art. Every single detail on their arts represents something like their gestures, face emotion and position of theme, are they elevated or what.

There is only one thing that answers that mystery,
CONQUEROR BECAME THE CONQUERED AND THE CONQUERED BECAME THE CONQUEROR...
 (pls. research about that qoutation...)

BLOG-1- Ancient Art in MultiMedia

Many people say's that  ancient art has nothing to do with Multimedia.
Is it true...?
Maybe for some, but for a true artist, it is something that is really a
treasure to bear with. Ancient art is the start of all, it's like the spark
in the stone for an early man that discovered the fire. Ancient art
was the first means of communicating in the early ages but. They
didn't know that it was an art, an art that will lead to a  more  and
easy but truly remarkable form of arts. They only knew that it was
for communicating, for recording everything that happens in their lives.

For me as a Multimedia artist...?, we need to know the concepts, styles, and means of art in the early ages.
Why...?
Simple.
Every artist should know what they are doing, they should know every part of what they are doing because in art, everything that you put like in a canvas drawing, when someone asked the artist, "what is that for?" and the artist couldn't answer, that person will think that, that artist is not true because even his own art, his own style and concept, he didn't know why did he placed in that  canvas. Like someone said, "every single thing in this world has it's own reason.

In Multimedia arts we study the history of art especially ancient art because you cannot understand what multimedia is all about without it's history. We need it to know the concepts because we might need it in the future, in our projects.

Ancient art is truly remarkable works in the early ages. It lead to a world that even they, can't imagine, it is beyond their imagination. What there were once nothing became that one special thing, "Ancient Art".

Works of art, in my opinion, are the only objects in the material universe to possess internal order, and that is why, though I don't believe that only art matters, I do believe in Art for Art's sake....
